US President Joe Biden said on May 4 that the United States is “always open to additional sanctions” against Russia after the European Union announced a new round of sanctions.
Biden made his statement at the White House, discussing the US economy, writes CNN.
“This week I will be talking to G7 members about what we are going to do or not going to do,” the American leader said.
Recall, on May 4, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen presented the sixth package of sanctions against Russia for aggression against Ukraine. Among the restrictions are the oil embargo, the disconnection of several other Russian banks from SWIFT, and the ban on state news broadcasters.
