The day before, on May 3, Russia launched missile strikes on several regions of Ukraine.
Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that massive rocket attacks may have at least two reasons. He believes that such an attack happened for a reason.
He said this on the air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
According to him, yesterday’s conversation between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron could be the cause of the strikes. “The conversation with Macron, apparently, inspired Putin in his intentions to conquer Ukraine or occupy it. Therefore, we received such an answer,” Zhdanov said.
Another reason may be that the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, near Izyum in the Kharkov region, came under fire from Ukrainian soldiers.
At the same time, Zhdanov notes that the main task of Ukraine now is to achieve the speediest supply of Western weapons that will help counter Russian aggression. By the way, we are talking about weapons, primarily within the limits of the lend-lease approved in the United States.
Recall that over the past day, on May 3, the invaders launched rocket attacks on objects in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Lvov, Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Transcarpathian, Odessa and Donetsk regions in order to destroy the transport infrastructure.
