Among the key topics of conversation were military and financial assistance, sanctions pressure on Russia and European integration of Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal discussed military and financial assistance to Ukraine with Prime Minister of Portugal António Costa.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine announced this on Facebook.
“He noted that the supply of modern weapons to Ukraine should be accompanied by increased sanctions pressure on Russia. He thanked Portugal for supporting all EU sanctions and expressed the hope that the 6th package of sanctions would be adopted as soon as possible,” the prime minister wrote.
He also noted that Portugal is in solidarity with Ukraine and is ready to provide all necessary assistance, in particular to the affected people. Ukraine can count on Portugal for financial assistance and support for Ukraine’s European aspirations.
Recall that the EU introduced the sixth package of sanctions against Russia.
