From the occupied territory of the Lugansk region, the Russian invaders removed or destroyed the volume of needs of the inhabitants of the region in grain for almost three years.
According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, about 100,000 tons of grain have been exported. Now in the Luhansk region, the sowing campaign has not started.
This was announced by the head of the Luhansk police department Sergei Gaidai.
According to him, one hundred thousand tons is only verified data, but how much is actually unknown. In addition, 30,000 tons of grain were destroyed at the elevator in Rubizhnoye.
“There is no bread now and it is not yet expected in the future. The Russians leave the Ukrainians in the occupied territory on the verge of starvation,” the head of the region emphasized.
By the way, the annual demand of the Luhansk region within its borders until February 24, 2022 was 60 thousand tons of grain. Together with the occupied territories in 2014 – 240 thousand tons. However, more than 90% of the land for the needs of farmers was concentrated in the northern part of the region, which the enemy occupied in 2022, where fighting is still ongoing.
“It was these territories that provided grain to the entire region until 2014. At present, the only region where the sowing campaign has not begun is ours. The Russians are not interested. Why, if you can rob and provide for yourself for several years in advance?” Sergey stressed. Gaidai.
As reported, the occupiers steal grain from farmers in the Zaporozhye region, or buy it at half the price. In particular, the invaders are forcing farmers in the Zaporozhye region to sell grain to the Russian Federation and Crimea.
