The mayor published his order to ban the activities of the UOC-MP on the territory of the city council of Konotop.
In Konotop, Sumy region, Mayor Artem Semenikhin banned the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in the city.
He announced this on Facebook .
“There is no difference between the enemy and his agent. And in the case of the Mosparkhat, it’s two in one. Therefore, I decided to ban the activity of this FSB agent network on the territory of my city,” wrote Semenikhin.
The mayor published his order dated May 3 to ban the activities of the UOC-MP on the territory of the city council of Konotop.
Semenikhin refers to the law on local self-government and martial law. He explains this decision as the goal of “preventing a split in the Konotop community on a religious basis.”
“Prohibit the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate on the territory of the Konotop City Council as a threat to the national security of Ukraine. I reserve control over the execution of this order,” the document, which was signed by the mayor of Konotop, says.
Recall that the Moscow Patriarch Kirill may enter the sixth package of EU sanctions .
