The adviser to the head of the OP said that in the Russian leadership there is a peace party and a war party. They are in a complex relationship with each other. Arestovich noted that now the party of war is winning, but the party of peace has its own voice.

“If they quarrel, then they should negotiate. For the peace party to prevail, the Russians need to understand the consequences of the war, emotionally, economically, and militarily,” he said.

Arestovich believes that if the “patriotic wave” diminishes in Russia and the “refrigerator beats the TV” state sets in, then, depending on military success, the peace party will become more important. “However, the rashists still hope for success,” he said.

“They are very sober after losing the first phase, but they hope that the second will be more successful if they fight, press and mobilize correctly. They have an illusion. However, if nothing works, they will look for a way out,” the adviser to the head of the OP added.
