Russia will not be able to declare a full-fledged war on Ukraine for the same reason why Ukraine does not declare it. This was stated by TSN.ua military expert Oleg Zhdanov.
“There is a trend that some countries are already declaring Russia an aggressor country. If they declare war and the UN General Assembly, and Ukraine immediately turns there, recognizes Russia as an aggressor country, then according to the UN Charter, all countries that are members of the UN must then stop any relations with Russia, ”the expert says.
He noted that for the same reason, the Ukrainian side also does not declare war.
“This also applies to us, why we do not declare war. If you open any contract, the force majeure section begins with the words “force majeure circumstances” … and the first thing there is war. This is an official reason to terminate the contract unilaterally without consequences. Therefore, it is unlikely that an official declaration of war will take place, ”the expert is convinced.
At the same time, according to him, hidden mobilization is intensifying in the Russian Federation, but direct mobilization is impossible , because the myth of an invincible and legendary army, which for some reason now needs to be strengthened, will be destroyed. “But from a military point of view, today they have already established a plan for the military registration and enlistment offices in each military district – each district should give at least 200 contract soldiers a week. And 7 districts is 1400 people a week. For 4 weeks – this is almost 6 thousand. They must issue contract soldiers every week. They will strengthen it,” Zhdanov said.
He added that the recruitment continues in the depressed parts of the country, but even there people are already beginning to ask why during the “special operation” the flow of coffins does not stop, and there is still no victory. “The mood in Russian society is beginning to change little by little. But only on the outskirts, where these burials are. By the way, the regional newspaper of Buryatia wrote: the condition of the bodies is so bad that the cadaverous smell does not disappear from this room, where they are escorted on their last journey, ”the expert notes.
