Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian propagandists have been coming up with new fakes every day to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Experts from the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine have collected a selection of fakes, manipulations and disinformation stuffing that the enemy produced during May 5.
This is stated in the message of the Center for Combating Disinformation in the Telegram channel.
List of fakes, misinformation and manipulations:
- In an interview with the Associated Press, Lukashenka said that “what happened in Bucha was a window dressing. There were British people who arrived in cars from Lvov, filmed in Bucha and then threw them into the information space.” Warning: This is fake!
- The Russian Defense Ministry said that “Kyiv is using civilian infrastructure for military purposes.” We are talking about medical institutions in Kharkov, Slavyansk, Lisichansk and Odessa, where “nationalists have installed heavy military equipment.” Warning: This is misinformation!
- Russian propagandists continue to demonize the Ukrainian military. In particular, the media of the Russian Federation declare a violation of the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, citing as evidence a video in which “a Georgian mercenary forces a prisoner to repeat insulting phrases.” Warning: This is manipulation!
Recall that earlier Russian propagandists , almost for the first time, did not lie about why the ruble exchange rate is growing in the Russian Federation. They admitted that such a trend with the ruble rate means false stability.
