Arestovich urged to share ideas, what else can be offered to the world community “to solve this problem.”

The adviser to the head of the OP spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin on May 5.

“We are adults, we understand that there are no military methods. Moreover, except for the intervention of the US army, either NATO or Turkey. The military method is as unrealistic in these conditions as the proposals of the Ukrainian army to somehow release. How?” – said Arestovich.

“We are open to suggestions. If someone comes up with ideas – all methods are good here – we are ready to hear with pleasure what else can be offered to the world community in order to solve this problem. Because what I see is that we have tried all the options in the result of all the brainstorming sessions that were held,” the adviser to the head of the presidential office added.

When asked by Feigin about whether it was proposed to Putin to lift some part of the sanctions for the release of people from the plant, Arestovich replied: “I don’t know such details. But from what I see just from the work of the team, these are endless brainstorming sessions. Relatively speaking , I hear how they are talking on the phone nearby: “Mariupol, Mariupol, Mariupol, Mariupol.”

“As I understand it, all options were allowed. But here is one of the options that were officially discussed – to exchange all Russian prisoners, and we have hundreds of them, to give them all,” the adviser to the head of the OP added.

Recall, the day before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked UN Secretary General António Guteres to assist in the removal of the wounded from Azovstal.

As the Azov fighters reported on May 5, the Ukrainian military did not push the Russian occupiers out of the plant , and bloody battles continue there. At the same time, there are many wounded soldiers in the premises of the enterprise who need help.
