The oil refinery in Kremenchug, which was hit by Russian occupiers with rockets, will not be able to operate at least until the end of the year.
The destruction experienced by the Kremenchug Oil Refinery due to a missile attack by the Russian army reaches significant proportions.
This was stated by the head of the Poltava regional military administration Dmitry Lunin.
According to him, the employees of the Kremenchug Oil Refinery now, despite the absence of their usual work, are involved in repair work and receive salaries.
“The Kremenchug refinery, as I understand it, will not work this year. They don’t plan to cut people there. Everyone was left at work, the workers must repair the enterprise,” Lunin said.
The Kremenchug Thermal Power Plant was also destroyed, the restoration of which, according to preliminary estimates, requires from 500 million to 800 million hryvnia, but the final calculations have not yet been made public. According to him, the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers have already reported on the amount of damage.
“The regional council can provide from 30 to 50 million hryvnia, plus the city will provide, and there is a private investor there. Together we must revive the thermal power plant,” summed up Lunin.
Recall that the heating season in Kremenchug was under threat due to rocket attacks on Russians.
As reported, on the evening of April 24, Russia fired missiles at infrastructure facilities in Kremenchug, Poltava region.
