Moldovan President Maia Sandu assured that nothing threatens the country now, but the authorities continue to closely monitor the developments and are doing everything to prevent destabilization of the situation.
Maia Sandu stated this on May 7 at a joint press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.
The President of Lithuania arrived in Chisinau on an official visit, writes Newsmaker.
“I discussed the situation in Moldova with President Gitanas Nausida. We are closely following the developments and doing everything to prevent destabilization of the situation in our country. We are also in constant contact with our external partners and friends,” she said.
Sanda also stressed that the government’s priority is to preserve peace.
Recall, Maia Sandu admitted that Moldova “does not have an effective shield against the threat , because it has not developed the proper military potential, has not created critical infrastructure elements and has not brought up social resilience.”
