The undermining of bridges in the Kharkiv region by the Russian invaders indicates a certain surrender of the invaders. This may somewhat slow down the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian troops, but it will not change the basic scenario.
“They are blowing up bridges, preparing for a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They have already calculated this (that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon be advancing – ed.). This is already their kind of capitulation ,” said Russian publicist Andriy Piontkovsky.

Piontkovsky recalled that during the second wave of the offensive in the Russian Federation, they claimed that they allegedly did not plan to capture the whole of Ukraine, but would only attack in the Donbass in order to “restore the territorial integrity of the pseudo-republics.”

In this case, in his opinion, instead of the destroyed bridges, the Ukrainian military will have to make pontoon crossings.
“This will slow down the capture (liberation by Ukrainian forces – ed.) of Donetsk and Luhansk for about 2 weeks, but this will not change the basic scenario,” Piontkovsky is convinced.
Recall, on the morning of May 7, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in order to gain some time and complicate the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian invaders blew up three bridges in the Kharkiv region , where they failed to capture the regional center.
