On May 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Borodyanka in the Kyiv region and said that the city was gradually returning to normal life.
The cities and communities of the Kiev region liberated from the invaders are already connected by normal transport links today.
The head of state said this in an evening video message.
“Today I was in Borodianka, Kyiv region, which is gradually returning to normal life. Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, together with Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov , inspected the restored railway bridge over the Irpen River. There is already traffic on it, ” Zelensky said.
“Today we can say that the cities and communities of the Kyiv region have been liberated from the invaders, united by normal transport links,” he added.
Recall, the day before, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said that gas and electricity supply is being restored in the settlements of Kiev, Kharkiv and Sumy regions , and work is underway to restore road infrastructure.
