Bucha, Irpen and Borodyanka can now be reached again by train.
Ukrzaliznytsia has launched trains on the restored Sviatoshyn-Borodyanka route.
The track destroyed by the Russians was rebuilt in just one month, although so far only one railway bridge has been opened.
But everyone hopes that along with the movement of trains to the outskirts of Kiev, life will gradually return.
In recent days, Russia has been hitting the Ukrainian railway lines more and more, so the repaired branch in the Bucha direction has already become a kind of symbol of insubordination.
BBC correspondent James Waterhouse took the first train to run on the restored route.
