As a result of the shells hit by the invaders , the production facilities of the plant caught fire, namely the sulfur recovery unit and the substance mixing station.
This was announced by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.
“The fire area is 360 sq.m., there is a threat of an explosion of a neighboring group of tanks. Rescuers tried to curb the fire, but artillery shelling began, and firefighters were forced to stop and left the danger zone. Extinguishing is impossible. The shelling does not subside,” he said.
Recall that earlier the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the tactics of the Russian army in the Donetsk and Tauride directions – the enemy has become more active there .
