On Sunday, May 8, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Irpen, destroyed by the Russian army.
The Western politician was shocked by the destruction inflicted by Russian troops during the occupation.
This was written by the mayor of Irpin Alexander Markushin.
“I only had the honor of speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He came to Irpin to see with his own eyes all the horror that Russian infidels inflicted on our city. And, of course, he was shocked. After all, he saw not military facilities, but the houses of Irpinsk residents, who until recently enjoyed life and had their own plans for the future,” the mayor wrote.
Markushin thanked the Canadian prime minister for the visit and the assistance that his state is providing to Ukraine today.
“I sincerely thank Mr. Trudeau for the support that Canada is providing to Ukraine today. We believe in further cooperation between our countries and in the restoration of Ukrainian cities after our victory. I hope for the support of Mr. Justin Trudeau in organizing the efforts of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada to restore infrastructure facilities in Irpin. Irpin will apply with the relevant official letters in the near future,” the head of the city said.
Recall, before the meeting of the leaders of the G7 countries , which will be held on Sunday, May 8, US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed further support for Ukraine.
