During the military parade in Moscow, the weather was excellent, so non-flying weather could not be the reason for the cancellation of the aircraft parade.
In Moscow, for the first time in the history of the modern Russian Federation, the air part of the parade was canceled until May 9 due to alleged weather conditions. The previously announced flyby of the Doomsday aircraft did not take place.
But the air part of the parade was canceled for political, not weather reasons. Putin decided not to demonstrate the “doomsday aircraft” – the command board of the Il-80, designed to evacuate the country’s leadership in the event of a nuclear war, under pressure from the West.
This opinion is shared by military expert Oleg Zhdanov. In an exclusive interview with OBOZREVATEL, he said that the air part of the parade was canceled due to an ultimatum from the West.
As the expert explained, such an ultimatum was made after numerous statements and hints from the leadership of the Russian Federation about the possibility of using nuclear weapons during the war against Ukraine.
“Putin began to disperse the topic of nuclear weapons, and he was immediately warned that they would pay attention to the issue of his personal liquidation. Or to the issue of imposing sanctions against people close to him. Pay attention, all the officials in the Russian Federation immediately began to say yes no” , we were not going to use nuclear weapons, ”Zhdanov clarified.
At the same time, the expert drew attention to the fact that at the time of the military parade in Moscow there was excellent weather, so non-flying weather could not be the reason for the cancellation of the parade of aircraft.
“I’m watching a live broadcast – there is great weather for aviation, just fly as much as you like,” he said. “But they removed the doomsday plane, and there’s nothing else to show there,” the expert added.
On May 8, Putin congratulated Ukraine on Victory Day .
