In Moscow, at the parade on May 9, the main part of the procession was made up of cadets of Russian schools, and employees of the military units of the Russian Federation almost did not participate in the action.
Also, on Red Square in Moscow, where the overflight of aviation was canceled, there was almost no military equipment.
Igor Tishkevich, an expert from the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, spoke about this on Facebook .
According to him, there were only eight infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) of various models, 12 tanks, vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and Iskander at the parade on Russian military equipment. The expert called all of today’s action in Moscow a “parade of children.”
“The real units are an erected box from the Taman and Kantemirovskaya divisions, the Sevastopol brigade and that’s it. The question arises: where are the real units?
According to him, the Russian cadets represented the “ceremonial crew of the Navy regiment” and the “ceremonial crew of the Airborne Forces”, as well as the border troops of the FSB and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The exceptions were the engineering units, the railway troops performing the tasks of developing the BAM, the “Cossacks” and the military police, who should not leave their positions near Moscow.
Recall that the National Security and Defense Council reported why the air parade was canceled in Russian cities .
