Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko congratulated everyone on the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II on his social networks.
The 34-year-old Ukrainian lightweight boxer, who has defended Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in the ranks of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky terrorist defense , laid flowers at the memorial to the victims of World War II in his hometown of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky.
It is there that the name of the boxer’s relative, Vasily Ivanovich Lomachenko, is also written.
Lomachenko published the corresponding photo on his Instagram, congratulating the followers on Victory Day.
“Thank you grandfather for the victory. Happy Victory Day,” Vasily wrote in a comment to the picture.

Earlier it was reported that Lomachenko refused to fight for the title of absolute world champion against Australian George Kambosos and decided to stay to defend Ukraine from Russian invaders.
Lomachenko has 16 wins (11 by knockout) and 2 losses in the professional ring. In the last fight, on the night of December 12, Vasily defeated the Ghanaian Richard Commey and won the WBO Intercontinental Champion belt.
