The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the situation in the main areas where hostilities are taking place in the Donbass.
Almost all Russians are storming and fighting.
This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff for May 9.
In the Severodonetsk direction , there is a battle for Rubizhne. The occupiers are trying to improve their tactical position, capture the city and create favorable conditions for a further offensive in the direction of Liman and Severodonetsk.
The Russians made an unsuccessful attempt to storm the village of Voevodovka. However, they were not successful and retreated to their previously occupied positions.
In the Liman direction, the invaders are trying to advance in battle in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandrovka and Shandrigolovo.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy unsuccessfully fought in the area of u200bu200bthe settlement of Toshkovka.
In the Avdeevsky direction, the Russians are trying to improve the tactical situation in the areas of Novoselovka, Novoselovka Vtoroy, Verkhnetoretsky. The fighting continues.
On the Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye directions, certain enemy units are regrouping troops in order to prepare for further active operations. This grouping is expected to increase due to the units that previously fought near Mariupol.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian invaders were carrying out offensive operations in eastern Ukraine .
