According to finance.ua , the rules for compensation for destroyed housing during the war have been changed in Ukraine. A special register will be used to register housing damaged and destroyed by the war. In addition to an apartment, a private house (cottage, garden, backyard), any residential premises that are not part of the house, it will be possible to add one more type of real estate to the register. Accordingly, these data will be compensated.

Data that will be in the Register of damaged housing

The following information will be entered into the registry database:

• information about damaged or destroyed housing;
• information about the owners of damaged or destroyed housing;
• information about damage caused by damage to housing.

The registry is administered by the Ministry of Digital Development, so the owners of destroyed real estate will not be able to make changes to the registry on their own.

What can be added to the registry

Construction in progress can be entered in the Register of Damaged Housing.

To include such objects, two conditions must be met.

• There must be building permits.
• In the objects for which data is entered, external and internal supporting walls must be erected.

You can submit information as follows:

• through the portal “Action”;
• through TsNAP;
• by contacting a notary.

Another change concerns the fixation of damaged housing – it is not necessary to provide a photo or video of the property, you can use satellite images.
