Today, May 10, the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place at the PalaOlimpico arena in Turin, Italy.

Recall that this year Ukraine represents the Kalush Orchestra with the song Stefania. The team is predicted to win.
In general, representatives of 40 countries will perform at Eurovision 2022. So, Armenia and Montenegro returned. But Belarus will not be again. The European Language Union (EBU) has decided to suspend the country’s membership. The EBU also suspended Russia from further participation in Eurovision. The Executive Council of the competition made such a decision after the invasion of the aggressor country into Ukraine. The suspension of the Russian Federation’s membership in the contest will continue until the political regime in the country changes.
