On May 11, Ukraine stops gas transit to Europe through the Sohranivka GIS and the Novopskov border compressor station.
This happened due to the fact that the gas measuring and compressor stations are now located on the territory occupied by the Russians .
This is reported by the GTS Operator.
The operator of the gas transmission system of Ukraine notes that at present Ukraine cannot control further gas supplies and exercise operational and technological control.
The GTS of Ukraine noted that the intervention of the occupying forces in technological processes, changes in the operating modes of GTS facilities, including unauthorized gas withdrawals from the transit stream, jeopardized the stability and safety of the entire Ukrainian gas transportation system.
“Consequently, from 07:00 on May 11, 2022, gas will not be accepted into the GTS of Ukraine at the Sokhranivka physical connection point. In order to fulfill transit obligations to European partners in full and in accordance with the terms of the agreement, temporary transfer of inaccessible capacities from the physical connection point is possible” Sohranivka” to the physical connection point “Sudzha”, located on the territory controlled by Ukraine,” the report says.
