Due to the war in Kyiv, the cost of renting housing has decreased, but in cities in western Ukraine it has increased.
So, in Kiev , a one-room apartment can be rented for 8-12 thousand UAH, while in Lviv or Uzhgorod the cost can even reach 2 thousand dollars.
This is stated in the plot “Snіdanku z 1 + 1”.
In Lviv, renting an ordinary apartment with an interior of the 80s of the last century can reach 18 thousand UAH. An apartment with a more modern renovation in Uzhgorod, which is located in the basement, can be rented for $2,000. Unfortunately, these are not isolated cases.
Alexandra from Kiev moved to Uzhgorod in early March. She says she wanted to rent an apartment, but was overwhelmed by the rental prices and the hype. The girl says that for a one-room apartment in Uzhgorod they asked for 10-20 thousand hryvnias.
Olga Stazhko, an expert on the real estate market, said that over the past week the situation on the real estate market has stabilized.
“In the western regions of Ukraine, real estate statistics show that the price of rent has even reached 400%, while in Kyiv, on the contrary, it has decreased,” the expert says.
Now in the capital, the cost of renting apartments has decreased by 3-4 thousand UAH. For example, the monthly rent of a two-room apartment on the left bank of the Dnieper near the metro station will cost 8 thousand UAH. Before the war, it cost 11-12 thousand UAH. On the outskirts of Kyiv, you can find a one-room apartment for 5-6 thousand UAH.
Real estate market expert Olga Stazhko noted that now the real estate market in Kyiv can stabilize, since it is relatively safe to be in the capital.
Recall that the experts told how to rent housing during the war and what you should pay attention to.
