Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, more than 500 National Guard troops have died.
Another 1,697 National Guard soldiers were injured.
Aleksey Nadtochy, head of the operational department of the headquarters of the Main Directorate of Novosibirsk State University, told about this at a briefing on May 11, UNIAN writes .
“During the fulfillment of tasks for this period, the losses of the personnel of the National Guard are: sanitary – 1,697 military personnel, irretrievable – 501 military personnel,” said Nadtochy.
He also said that the National Guard is taking part in the defense operation in Donetsk, Slobozhansky, Yuzhnobuzhsky and the eastern part of the Taurida operational region. The NGU also covers the border with Belarus.
Recall, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of May 11 , the total combat losses of Russia in the war against Ukraine amount to 26,350 people.
