The Armed Forces of Ukraine and other defense forces have stopped and are holding back the offensive of the Russian invaders on the territory of Ukraine.
This became possible due to the timely implementation by Ukraine of a set of measures to respond to a critical increase in the level of military threat from the Russian Federation.
This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexei Gromov.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other components of the Defense Forces, have now stopped and are holding back a large-scale offensive by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, whose armed forces prevailed 10 times in certain directions, not only in the personnel of our units, but also in weapons and military equipment,” emphasized Alexey Gromov.
The Russian occupiers went on the defensive even after they unsuccessfully tried to cordon off Kharkov. They also went on the defensive to the Izyum direction, where they carry out deterrent actions and transfer their forces to the Luhansk direction.
However, there remains the threat of an enemy amphibious operation in the Black Sea Operational Zone.
“In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, enemy warships and submarines continue to be present, which support its ground groupings of troops operating in the Primorsky direction, and also strike with precision weapons at targets deep in the territory of our state,” Gromov’s representative added.
According to him, the next possible actions of the occupiers may be attempts to take control of the territory of Odessa, Mykolaiv and partially Zaporozhye regions.
Recall that Russia does not intend to drag out the war in Ukraine , since the armament is running out.
