The adopted resolution also contains support for the further provision of weapons by the Czech Republic to Ukraine and for our country to obtain the status of a candidate for EU membership.
On May 11, the Senate of the Czech Republic adopted a resolution recognizing the crimes of the Russian army in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebiynis.
“The adopted resolution also contains support for the further provision of weapons by the Czech Republic to Ukraine and for Ukraine to receive the status of a candidate for EU membership,” he added.
The Czech Republic has a bicameral parliament, therefore, probably, the lower house of parliament can make a similar decision.
Earlier, the Lithuanian Seimas unanimously recognized Russia as a terrorist state .
Recall, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that her country stands for Ukraine’s full membership in the European Union .
