The cost of the yacht of the pro-Kremlin billionaire Akhmedov is estimated at 400 million euros.
The Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany has arrested the 115-meter yacht Luna, owned by Russian billionaire Farkhad Akhmedov. Since the beginning of April, the pro-Kremlin oligarch has been on the EU sanctions list due to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
This was reported by the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Before detaining the ship in the port, German law enforcement officers found out that the Russian oligarch Akhmedov was behind the Liechtenstein Trust, which is formally listed as the owner of the luxury ship.
“The cost of the yacht, which is currently prohibited from leaving the port until further notice, is estimated at about €400 million. It has nine decks, a huge pool and a small submarine,” the report says.
Now his superyacht can be confiscated and sold in favor of Ukraine.
The Luna yacht was commissioned by another Russian billionaire, also under sanctions, Roman Abramovich. Akhmedov bought it from him in 2014.
It is known that Farkhad Akhmedov was a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and is a loyal ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Recall that earlier in Germany, the world’s largest superyacht Dilbar of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov was confiscated, worth more than $ 600 million.
