Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, does not undertake to predict how long the war will continue.
But he is confident that the Russians are exhausting their forces needed for the offensive.
He said this in a conversation with Russian journalist and human rights activist Mark Feigin.
“It is not known how long the war will continue. I can say for sure that Russia is conducting the last or penultimate offensive of the operational level in the next few months in this conflict. It is now ending. They are dying in the Izyum region. And that’s it,” Arestovich said.
Further, according to him, active hostilities will be replaced by a positional war with attempts by the Russians to accumulate forces and again launch some kind of operational offensive.
“But for this, several months are needed for sure. Although they have reserves of about 15 BTG,” says a representative of the President’s Office.
Arestovich admitted that he sometimes makes mistakes in forecasts, but believes that the reason for this is the terrible idiocy of the Russian command.
“They can also throw them (15 BTGs of the reserve. – Ed.) into battle. But you won’t find more idiocy in history. But after that, that’s for sure.“ Positioning ”. we can’t advance, because we still don’t have the strength,” summed up the adviser to the head of the OP.
Earlier, Alexei Arestovich spoke about the “new Chernobaevka” and the situation on the fronts .
