According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army is trying to continue a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine and does not stop offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone.

This is stated in the evening code of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 12.

In the Volyn and Polesye directions , no active enemy operations were noted. According to available information, the second stage of checking the readiness of the units of the armed forces of Belarus under the leadership of the chief of the general staff continues. A scheduled check of the readiness of the warning system was carried out. At the same time, the threat of missile and bomb strikes from the Republic of Belarus against infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine continues to persist.

In the Seversk direction , the enemy continues to provide enhanced security for a section of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. He carried out shelling of the border regions of Ukraine. “Probably, the enemy will continue to conduct demonstration actions on the indicated section of the state border of Ukraine and shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation in order to prevent the movement of units of our troops to other directions,” the report says.

In the Kharkov direction, the main efforts of the enemy were focused on preventing the advance of our troops and the liberation of territories temporarily occupied by Russian invaders. During the day, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops in the areas of the settlements of Pitomnik and Russian Tishki.

In the Slavic direction, the enemy did not take active actions. The main efforts were focused on replenishing stocks of material and technical means to build up offensive capabilities. Conducted shelling in areas of settlements along the line of collision. Carried out aerial reconnaissance using the Orlan-10 UAV.

In the Donetsk direction , infidels used mortars, cannon artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and launched rocket and bomb air strikes in order to destroy the fortifications of Ukrainian units. Russian infidels carried out aerial reconnaissance using UAVs in the regions of Pokrovsk, Slavyansk and Pavlograd.

In the Limansky direction, the enemy is trying to capture a piece of terrain on the right bank of the Seversky Donets River and gain a foothold in the area of u200bu200bthe settlement of Aleksandrovka. He made assault actions in the direction of the Novoselovka settlement, but was not successful.

In the Severodonetsk direction , the enemy continues assault operations in the area of the settlement of Voevodovka, but is not successful.

On the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Kurakhovsky directions, the enemy is conducting assault operations in order to improve the tactical position of his troops, but is not successful.

In the city of Mariupol, the enemy continued to inflict artillery and air strikes, concentrating the main efforts on blocking our units in the area of the Azovstal plant.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities, and continues to hold their positions. The main efforts were focused on the fire destruction of our troops and building up the electronic warfare system.

According to available information, the enemy has built up the air defense system in the western part of the Crimean peninsula.

Recall, on May 10, Belarus stated that the creation of a 20,000-strong group of Ukrainian troops requires a reaction. Minsk, as part of the check, is deploying special operations forces units in the south.
