Even despite the fact that Ukraine performed in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2022, the participants in the second semi-final did not stand aside.
They support the Ukrainians in word and deed and want the war to end.
In particular, the participants from Georgia, Estonia and the Czech Republic did it in such a way as not to violate the rules of the international competition.
During the vote, the representative of Georgia, the Circus Mircus group, held a large blue and yellow flag of Ukraine, on which a rocket was depicted, crossed out with a red cross. However, at the end of their speech, they figured out how to express words of support to the Ukrainians. The musicians shouted out the famous phrase “make love, not war”, which means “make love, not war”.
Participants of the competition from the Czech Republic, the collective We Are Domi, also brought the flag of Ukraine. True, they deployed it in their “green room”. But during the broadcast, one of the members of the group’s team put on a T-shirt on which was the inscription “no war.”
The representative from Estonia, Stefan, put on a blue-yellow ribbon on his jacket, which he did not remove either during the live broadcast or during the press conference.
Recall that participants from different countries actively support Ukrainians . Artists come to celebrations with blue and yellow flags, express words of support, shout out “Glory to Ukraine” and all together sing the Kalush Orchestra’s song – Stefania.
