North Korea fired another ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan on May 12.
According to the South Korean General Staff, this was the 16th launch of the DPRK rocket since the beginning of 2022, and the third since May 4.
It is reported by Yonhap.
It should be noted that just two days ago, the inauguration of South Korean President Yun Sok Yol took place, promising to resume dialogue with the DPRK.
Recall that on April 17, North Korea announced that it had successfully tested a new weapon that would significantly improve its tactical nuclear capabilities. By this time, the DPRK had not conducted nuclear tests for five years and blew up the tunnels at its Pungyere nuclear test site. However, according to satellite data, work is underway to restore the tunnels.
We add that in March of this year, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the state space agency and said that the reconnaissance satellite being created in his country is designed to collect information about the US military in the region and their “vassal forces.”
