Russian soldiers shot two civilians near Kyiv in the back: CNN released video of the March crime

The cold-blooded murder of two unarmed men.

The occupants shot and killed two unarmed civilians as they retreated from clashes on the outskirts of Kyiv in March 2022.

CNN released the video of the crime.

The American Broadcasting Company received a video recording of the cold-blooded murder of two Ukrainians, caught on surveillance cameras. Now the incident is being investigated by the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office as a war crime.

Both men died in a callous shooting that goes against the so-called rules of war against attacking civilians.

CNN has identified the victims. One of them was the owner of a looted car dealership, whose name was not disclosed. The other was Leonid Alekseevich Plyats, a 68-year-old man who worked there as a security guard.

CCTV footage shows Russia’s first attempt to seize Kyiv in March. The main road to the capital was stubborn fighting: Ukrainian troops fought Russian troops and tankers to stop the offensive.

But what happened outside the car dealership on March 16 was not a fight between soldiers, or even soldiers with armed civilians.

The video footage shows five Russian soldiers trying to enter the car dealership, shooting at locks and breaking windows.

When the owner approaches with their hands up, they stop him and apparently search him for weapons. Then Square arrives and he too is searched. There seems to be some conversation going on before the soldiers turn away and the two civilians start walking back to the sentry post.

Then at least two soldiers approach the men from behind and open fire. Both civilians fall to the ground.

While the soldiers searched the enterprise, Plyatz was still alive. In the video, he can be seen standing up heavily, tying what looks like a tourniquet around his thigh, and limping back towards his guard post. He was able to get to the phone and call for help, but the volunteers who arrived could not save him, he surfaced in blood.

After a full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine on February 25, Antonina, together with her husband, children and parents, decided to leave the war for the west of Ukraine. The woman believed that she would return soon, but she is still not at home. Now the garden blogger is still abroad with her children.

This was told by garden blogger Antonina Lesik on the air of “Breakfast with 1 + 1”.
