An 11-year-old boy from the Donetsk region actually became a trustee for his sister and mother.
On April 8, his relatives were injured due to a rocket fired by the Russian invaders at people in Kramatorsk. Then the boy’s grandmother died.

The girl was left without both legs, her mother lost one ending, their grandmother died. Yaroslav was saved by the fact that by the time of the shelling he was watching things in the station building.
Fleeing from shelling from her native Novgorodsky in the Donetsk region, Natalia with her children, eleven-year-old twins, ended up at the Kramatorsk railway station. We were standing in line for tea when Russian rockets flew from the sky.
“The sounds were like something was flying, and then my left ear was stuffed up and it darkened sharply in my eyes, when I opened my eyes my legs started to burn sharply. I wanted to get up first and run away somewhere, find my mother, brother, but I I couldn’t get up, as if it was very painful, when I looked at my legs, I burst into tears, ”the girl recalls that tragic day.
Grandmother Tanya died on the spot. 11-year-old Yaroslav was saved by the fact that by the time of the attack he was in the station building. Natalia and her daughter were severely crippled
“The guy who ran up, I asked him for a lace from the hood, he gave it, I somehow Yana, how much strength was enough, I tightened it,” says the mother of the children.
Then the military took Yana in their arms and took her to the Dnipro hospital. Natasha – to the Pavlograd hospital. There, the woman’s left leg was amputated and a fragment was pulled out of her stomach. She had to amputate both legs. Mom and daughter saw each other twelve days later at the station, getting on the evacuation train to Lviv. They have been under the care of local doctors for several weeks now.
“When they were hospitalized to us, there were septic wounds, since these were severe traumatic amputations, surgical treatment of wounds was performed several times, today the wounds are already in the healing stage and the next stage will be prosthetics,” says Dmitry, head of the surgical department of the hospital of St. Nicholas Gritsak.
The family will go abroad for rehabilitation and prosthetics. Doctors say the girl will be able to return to normal life
“She has saved knee joints. That is, here you can count on quite functional prosthetics. And I think that even she will be able to dance,” says Dmitry Gritsak, head of the surgical department at the St. Nicholas Hospital.
The family understands that people have long-term treatment ahead in America, but they believe in our victory and have one dream for three – to end the war.
As reported, on April 8, 2022, the Russian armed forces fired two cruise missiles at the railway station in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. According to preliminary data, at least 39 people were killed and 87 others were injured.
