To consolidate their positions, Russian troops are trying to capture the villages of Bruskinskoye and Bolshaya Aleksandrovka in the Kherson region. This may allow the invaders to advance on the Nikolaev region.
The villages of Bruskinskoye and Bolshaya Aleksandrovka are located within 15 km from the border of the Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War.
In the event of the capture of the settlements, the Russian military can improve their tactical positions and try to launch an attack on the Nikolaev region.
At the same time, according to the British Ministry of Defense, the invaders are trying to strengthen their garrison on Zmeiny Island in order to expand access to the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, the situation in Transnistria remains tense, but no changes are visible.
Recall that the occupying authorities of the Kherson region intend to appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to annex the temporarily occupied region to the Russian Federation.
