Russia withdraws its units from the Kharkov region after heavy losses. This is a tacit admission of their inability to capture key Ukrainian cities.
The Putin army, which has been barbarously destroying Ukraine since the start of a full-scale war on February 24 and another 8 years in the Donbass and annexed Crimea, is withdrawing military units from the Kharkiv region to reorganize and replenish its forces after the heavy losses inflicted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This is stated in the updated data of British intelligence on the situation in Ukraine on May 12.
“Ukrainian forces continue counterattacks north of Kharkiv, repulsing several towns and villages towards the Russian border. Russia’s prioritization of operations in the Donbas has made the units stationed in the Kharkiv region vulnerable to mobile and highly motivated Ukrainian counterattack forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report says.
Intelligence officials say that, despite some success of Russia in the encirclement of Kharkov in the initial stages of the war, now the invaders have withdrawn units from the region to reorganize and replenish their forces after heavy losses.
Now the Russians are likely to deploy a blocking force on the eastern bank of the Seversky Donets River to protect the western flank of the Russian concentration of main forces and the main supply routes for operations in the Izyum region.
“The withdrawal of Russian troops from the Kharkiv region is a tacit admission of Russia’s inability to capture key Ukrainian cities, where they expected limited resistance from the population,” the British Defense Ministry added.
Recall that the Ukrainian defenders liberated another settlement in the Kharkiv region from the invaders .
