On Thursday, May 12, there were changes in the top 10 of the updated ranking of the best boxers in the world, regardless of the weight category of The Ring.
World champion according to WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight Alexander Usik topped this rating.

On the first line, Usyk displaced Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs), who, after losing to Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs), dropped to sixth place. Second in the ranking was Terence Crawford . Japanese Naoya Inoue closed the top three.
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko is in seventh position.
The ranking does not include Tyson Fury , who was called a potential rival for Usyk, as he announced his retirement.

After the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, Usyk entered the territorial defense , but later received permission to leave the country and announced that he would be preparing for revenge from Anthony Joshua.
The athlete posted a video message on his Instagram page, where he explained his decision to leave Ukraine in a war. According to the boxer, in this way he will help his country more.
Earlier it was reported that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Gearn named a potential date and place for a rematch with Usyk. The fight will be officially announced soon.

- The 35-year-old Usyk has 19 wins (13 by knockout) in 19 fights. He spent three of them in the heavyweight division. Before that, Alexander became the absolute world champion in the cruiserweight (weight category up to 90.7 kg), having won all four of the most prestigious belts there.
