Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov held talks with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin on the implementation of lend-lease.
The head of the defense department of Ukraine called the conversation with Austin productive.
Reznikov announced this on his Twitter page.
“We discussed the prospects for the practical implementation of Lend-Lease and the decisions that were made in Ramstein. The coalition in support of the struggle for independence is growing stronger. Together we will win!” the Minister of Defense of Ukraine wrote.
Recall that on April 7, the US Senate unanimously passed a bill to renew the World War II program (Lend-Lease). Later, on April 28, the US House of Representatives approved the lend-lease law for Ukraine.
On May 9, US President Joe Biden signed the lend- lease law for Ukraine. As a result, Ukraine expects an increase in the supply of weapons and an acceleration in the pace of their provision.
