President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready for a dialogue with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Nevertheless, this dialogue should be without intermediaries and Russian ultimatums.
The President of Ukraine stated this in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai 1.
Zelensky explained that he was ready to meet with the Russian dictator, but without his intermediaries and ultimatums. The President stressed that the issues of negotiations are becoming more complicated every day due to the atrocities of the Russian military in Ukraine.
“Today, dialogue is impossible without a strong position on Russia’s actions. Everyone is united in the need to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, at least that’s what European leaders, the United States, Canada, etc. tell me. Without a strong army, Ukraine will be at the negotiating table not strong, but we need this fortress,” Zelensky said.
The President stressed that friendship between Ukraine and Russia is impossible because of the brutal war of the Russian invaders against the Ukrainians, and dialogue is needed to find understanding.
Recall that on Thursday, May 12, the President of Ukraine talked with the leaders of Finland and Slovakia . President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on his work on the foreign policy front, where he is trying to enlist the support of as many states as possible.
