The Russian occupiers are not abandoning their attempts to seize the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. On May 23 alone, the enemy made 16 attacks.
Along the entire defense zone, the enemy uses combat aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems, large-caliber cannon artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, launches missile and bomb strikes against civilian infrastructure facilities, peaceful residential areas.
According to the headquarters of the JFO , the invaders fired at 38 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, destroyed and damaged 62 civilian objects, including: 53 residential buildings, an agricultural enterprise, a kindergarten, a bank branch, a pharmacy and the administrative building of the national police.
As a result of these attacks, at least 7 civilians were killed, 6 more were injured and injured of varying severity.
However, the Ukrainian defenders give a worthy answer to the invaders. The JFO fighters successfully repulsed 16 enemy attacks and inflicted losses on the enemy, in particular:
- 8 tanks;
- 22 units of combat armored vehicles;
- 1 enemy vehicle.
Air defense units in the sky of the Ukrainian Donbass shot down one Granat-type unmanned aerial vehicle and 6 Orlan-10 UAVs.
The headquarters of the JFO reported that fighting with the occupier continues at one location.
Recall that earlier the head of the Donetsk OVA Pavel Kirilenko reported on the dead and wounded in the region at the hands of the occupiers per day.
