The Kenyan band That’s What She Said stunned by singing the legendary anthem of the Sich Riflemen “Oh, there is a red viburnum near the moon”.
During a concert in Nairobi, the band performed a rebel song in Ukrainian and Swahili.
The corresponding video appeared on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kenya. Interestingly, the soloist of the group appeared on stage in an outfit in the colors of the flag of Ukraine. Also behind the musicians was a Ukrainian banner.
In the comments, stunned users admitted that they did not expect such a performance. Users also thanked the group for the song and support.
- Thank you! Such a magical performer! So original sang our song! Very well!!!
- Well, if our song has reached Kenya, then we will win.
- Goosebumps and tears in my eyes. All conscious people in the world, as a sign of showing respect and support for our suffering country, although they will study a couple of Ukrainian words, they will sing our song, they will exclaim Glory to Ukraine, and our, God forgive me, slit-incompetent natives who were born here, who were born here, studied the Ukrainian language at school, grew up, grew old here, but they can’t speak, because they have a language and what’s the difference … Shame is universal, not the population. Kenyans gratitude and respect
- Thank you for the support of my country and the soulful performance of the song. Good luck to you!!!
- Bravo! Sincerely grateful for the support of Ukraine
Recall that the song “Oh, at the moon of red viburnum”, which was created more than a century ago, gained new popularity after the leader of the Ukrainian group “Boombox” Andriy Khlivnyuk sang it a cappella in the middle of Kiev . Now the anthem of the Sich Riflemen is being sung on the Web by adults and children. Also, it is performed even by foreigners.
