The Russians continue unsuccessful attempts from the encirclement of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk.
Over the past day, the invaders have been chaotically and almost continuously shelling Severodonetsk. The Russians attacked a residential high-rise building, as a result of which four people died at once. The tragedy occurred in the old districts of the city.
This was announced by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.
According to him, the bodies of two men and a woman with no signs of life were found by the police, who were the first to come to the rescue. Another woman was seriously injured.
She was given first aid and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, the victim died on the operating table.
“All four were in the same high-rise building. Probably, they lived there constantly. Or in the neighborhood. Yesterday this street came under very heavy shelling – several houses were damaged. There were at least six in the city. from high-rise buildings managed to save the life of a man,” Gaidai said.
Four more houses were destroyed in Zolote and three in Novodruzhesk.
“The shelling is very powerful. It is not always possible to calculate all the destruction in time – it is difficult to get to the places of events. Yes, with a two-day delay, we received information that the enemy again shot at the building of the regional specialized school. This is a boarding school for children in Gorny, which had modern conditions for them Russkiy Mir did everything to take them away,” the head of the OVA said.
Gaidai added that data on destroyed housing stock in Popasna and Rubezhnoye are also constantly received.
In addition, it is known that the Russians have concentrated their efforts on conducting an offensive operation to cordon off Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. At present, with the support of artillery, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the directions of Toshkovka and Ustinovka near Lisichansk.
Over the past 24 hours , 16 Russian attacks have been repulsed, eight tanks, twenty-two armored vehicles and one enemy vehicle have been destroyed. Air defense units shot down one Granat-type unmanned aerial vehicle and six Orlan-10 UAVs.
Recall that the Russians wanted to isolate the Luhansk region and damaged a large-diameter gas pipeline .
