The head of the Svetlodar military administration, Sergei Goshko, said that Russian troops entered the city on May 24 and planted their flag on the building of the city council.
Goshko stressed that Svetlodarsk, Donetsk region, was captured by Russian troops .

” At this time, they hang out their rag (trikorol – ed.) on the administrative building,” the head of the military administration said.
He also said that armed occupiers walk the streets of Svetlodarsk in groups of five and check the documents of local residents . However, there is not a large presence of invaders, Goshko added.
It should be noted that Uglegorskaya TPP with the largest production capacity in Ukraine is located in Svetlodarsk.
Recall that the Russian army concentrated its efforts on conducting an offensive in the Lugansk region. The invaders are planning to cordon Lisichansk and Severodonetsk.
