President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his video message, paid special attention to the fact that today, May 24, a full-scale war with Russia has been going on for three months.

According to the president, this is a huge term that the leading intelligence agencies of the world did not envisage.

“Our enemies did not even allow this. And this is what prompts the world to look at our land, at Ukraine, in a completely different way,” he said.

At the same time, Zelensky stressed that the Russian invaders have been committing war crimes for three months now. For three months, Ukrainians have been defending their own land and performing massive feats.

The head of state said that 15,227 Ukrainians and Ukrainian women were awarded state awards . Of them:

• 12,550 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
• 1801 National Guardsman;
• 205 border guards;
• 182 policemen;
• 167 employees of the SBU;
• 138 State Emergency Service;
• 99 soldiers of the Main Directorate of Intelligence;
• 38 employees of the State Special Communications Service.

As well as employees of the State Security Department, the Foreign Intelligence Service, NABU, the SBI and the Judicial Security Service, who also contributed to the defense.

155 Ukrainians were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine , 75 of them posthumously . 1016 settlements of Ukraine have already been de-occupied.

“And each of these figures is a story. A story of extreme courage and self-sacrifice. This is the heroic defense of Mariupol. These are successes in the battles for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkov. This is a heroic defense in the Donbass. This is the defense of Odessa, Nikolaev and our entire south. These are protests and resistance in those cities and communities of Ukraine that we have yet to liberate,” Zelensky said.

He urged to always remember that Ukraine survived during these three months thanks to tens of thousands of deeds and the cost of tens of thousands of lives of Ukrainian women and Ukrainians killed by the occupiers.
