The Prime Minister stressed that the agreement will open up new opportunities for Ukrainian business.
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that Ukraine plans to sign a “customs visa-free regime” with Europe in the near future. Now there is an active preparation of this process.
He said this on May 24 at a government meeting.
“Another area in which Ukraine is actively integrating with Europe is transportation and customs. We plan to sign a “customs visa-free regime” in the near future. That is, to join the Convention on the Joint Transit Procedure. This document is the basis for the movement of goods between member countries EU. We are already using the appropriate computerized NCTS system, and are technically ready to join the relevant Convention. Such accession will significantly speed up customs clearance and speed up the flow of goods. This is the best quality of customs and new opportunities for Ukrainian business,” Shmyhal said.
Recall that Shmyhal told how Ukraine will help Europe to abandon Russian coal and reduce gas consumption.
