Soon it will be possible to make calls between the EU and Ukraine at no additional cost, and transfers in euros will be free of charge.
The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing two important integration projects: Ukraine’s accession to the EU roaming space and to the single payment area in the European currency SEPA.
Prime Minister Denis Shmigal spoke about this at a government meeting on May 24.
According to him, the government “is actively promoting these projects and plans to achieve results soon”
Shmihal explained that Ukraine’s accession to the EU roaming space will allow making calls between the EU and Ukraine at no additional cost, and will also allow Ukrainians to use mobile Internet at home rates.
Ukraine’s accession to the Single Payments Area may take place in the summer and will allow making transfers in euros without commissions.
Earlier, Denis Shmigal told how Ukraine will help Europe to abandon Russian coal and reduce gas consumption.
