This year we didn’t hear much about HMD Global, but by the autumn the company got together and arrived at IFA 2022 with four new products at once. Among them is Nokia’s new flagship, the X30 5G smartphone. Of course, you won’t find top-end hardware in it, but it’s definitely better than all the company’s new products lately. The cameras became the main feature: a 50-megapixel base with OIS and 1 micron pixels (IMX766 or its equivalent from OmniVision), a 13-megapixel wide and a 16-megapixel front camera.
In addition, Nokia X30 received a waterproof case, a fingerprint scanner under the screen (6.43″, Full HD +, AMOLED, 90 Hz) and 33 W fast charging for a 4200 mAh battery. The chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, the price is from 500 Price and water resistance aside, the legacy of the Nokia XR20 can be felt in this smartphone with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is more common in flagships than mid-range smartphones. But the complete charger is not made from recycled materials, but only because it does not exist at all.
Nokia G60 is also made from recycled materials and also runs on Snapdragon 695, but in other respects it is much simpler. The set of cameras includes a 50-megapixel base (JN1), a 5-megapixel wide (1/5″), a 2-megapixel earplug and an 8-megapixel front camera (1/4″), a fingerprint scanner is located at the end, and the charging speed is limited to 20 Tue But the screen is larger and faster than the flagship: IPS, 120 Hz, 6.58″, Full HD +. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh. The price of the device is about 350 euros.
Nokia C31 continues the principle “the cheaper the smartphone, the larger the screen”: here it’s already 6.75”, but without hertz and with HD + resolution. Other characteristics are also quite simple: 28-nm UniSoC SC9863A chipset, 13 + 2 main camera +2 MP, 5 MP front camera, 5050 mAh battery, fingerprint scanner on the rear panel and price around 250 euros.
Well, Nokia T21 is not a smartphone at all, but a tablet, but also a budget segment. It received a 10.4″ IPS screen with a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels, a UniSoC T612 chipset, a pair of 8-megapixel cameras, an 8200 mAh battery and optional LTE support. Detailed specifications are listed below. Will HMD Global products presented at IFA 2022 be sold in Russia , is not yet clear; in the spring, the company officially left this country, and no information about its intention to return has yet been received.
