Not up to Xiaomi: Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ screen details

September 12, 2022, 11:32

The Samsung Galaxy S23 trio are increasingly making headlines. The main leitmotif is the preservation of the “base” from the Galaxy S22, improvements due to the new hardware (primarily Snapdragon 8 Gen 2). However, the screens of younger models will not be affected. In any case, this is what a well-known source of leaks on Samsung UniverseIce claims, which erupted in criticism of the company and its management. He said that next year we will see a trend for 1.5k screens, that is, 1220p resolution.

This, in particular, is already used in the Xiaomi K50 Extreme (future Xiaomi 12T) and will soon be in many other Chinese flagships, while Samsung allegedly remains with the old Full HD +, which will be the weakest indicator in the high-end segment. Most likely, the format with a hole for the front camera will also remain. We’ll know for sure in January.
