On September 13, on the Day of the City of Bucha in Kyiv, at the Oscar cinema, a teaser trailer for the future Ukrainian drama “Bucha” was presented, based on real events that took place in this city, as well as in Vorzel, Gostomel and Irpen during the Russian occupation in February-April 2022. The film is directed by Stanislav Tiunov (producer of Date in Vegas, Producer, director of Molodist).
The main character is Konstantin Gudauskas, a citizen of Kazakhstan who saved more than 200 people from the occupied Kiev region. Thanks to his Kazakh passport, Konstantin has the opportunity to travel to the territory occupied by Russian troops and take out civilians. During the rescue, he becomes a witness to numerous war crimes and atrocities committed by the Russian invaders – murders, robberies, rapes. Also, the film will include a rescue scene of the famous Ukrainian composer and Shevchenko Prize winner Igor Poklad, who during the events of the film was in his house in Vorzel.

The role of the main antagonist was given to Vyacheslav Dovzhenko, a Ukrainian theater and film actor, winner of the Gold Jiga Award for Best Actor. Casting for the remaining roles will continue until the end of the year.
The author of the main soundtrack for the film was Isa Melikov , a well- known Azerbaijani composer and producer. Also, the film will feature several works by Igor Dmitrievich, such as “The Power of the Bird” and the March of the Hundred from the operetta “Konotop’s Witch”.
The film’s creative team aims to participate in class A international festivals, as well as to present the film on world streaming sites.
“After it became known in April what happened in Bucha and other cities of Ukraine that were occupied, it became clear that the tragedy of the Ukrainian people should be known all over the world,” says Alexander Shchur, producer of the film Bucha. “We believe that the implementation of this project will help Ukraine attract the attention of the international community and encourage further economic and military assistance.”
The trailer was filmed at the expense of American investors, and they plan to finance the production of the film exclusively at the expense of foreign investors and patrons. Filming is scheduled for December-January, and the premiere is scheduled for the anniversary of the tragedy.
During the presentation, the trailer was also announced the launch of the Konstantin Gudauskas “ Bucha help ” charitable foundation , its primary task will be the restoration of destroyed housing in Bucha, Irpen and Gostomel.
