Yesterday, news about the US decision to ease sanctions pressure on Huawei in matters of low-level technologies spread across the Web, causing a storm of dubious speculation about the rebirth of the Huawei mobile segment and the imminent launch of 5G flagships. Less than a day later, the same Bloomberg published another article that could kill all yesterday’s optimism: the United States plans to expand restrictions on the supply of semiconductors to China for the production of chips and the creation of AI. Moreover, this will happen as early as October, and the Americans are planning to discuss blacklisting additional Chinese companies involved in supercomputers. In other words, there are no reasons for China to be optimistic about chips and their production.
